Parañaque LGU adopts latest IATF resolution

The Parañaque Local Government immediately issued an Executive Order in relation to the new resolution released by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

E.O. Number 2021-022 Series of 2021 states that the LGU is adopting Resolution Number 104 Series of 2021 of the IATF. Section 9 of the E.O. also stipulates compliance by the City Government and barangay personnel or the requirement for all barangay officials and City Government personnel to wear face masks and face shields when outside the house and while doing their work. Anyone caught violating the law will face appropriate charges and penal sanctions.

It can be recalled that based on the IATF resolution starting today, March 22, the four neighboring provinces of Metro Manila will return to general community quarantine (GCQ) due to the increase in the number of victims of COVID 19. These include Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan and Cavite.

The resolution was approved by President Duterte and will be effective until April 4. But Presidential spokesman Harry Roque clarified that it will not be a ‘lockdown’ but a ‘bubble,’ a way to limit the movement of people to one place. Except for authorized persons outside residence (APORs) and those with really important appointment or necessities, no one else can travel to the aforementioned provinces, including Metro Manila.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez reminded the public to follow strict implementation of minimum health standards. –Ryan Lesigues
