Parts of Regalado Highway to be closed for MRT-7 construction

MANILA — Parts of Regalado Highway in Quezon City will be closed to traffic from Monday night until early Tuesday morning due to the ongoing construction of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).

In its advisory, the MRT-7 Traffic Management Task Force said the northbound and southbound lanes of Regalado Extension stretching from Bristol Street to Commonwealth Avenue shall be closed starting at 11 p.m. of Feb. 26 until 5 a.m. of Feb. 27.

Motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes:

Vehicles going towards Quezon City Memorial Circle must take Quirino Highway and Commonwealth Avenue or Belfast Street and Mindanao Avenue.

Vehicles going towards San Jose Del Monte may take Mindanao Avenue and Regalado Avenue

The affected lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The MRT Line 7 is a 22.8-km railway line that will consist of 14 stations traversing from North Avenue to San Jose del Monte in Bulacan province and is expected to be completed by 2019. (PNA)
