Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) announced that it has reached its full capacity for COVID-19 cases.

The hospital will temporarily stop admitting new patients starting today, March 27, in its intensive care unit (ICU), emergency room and COVID-19 ward.

PCGH OIC Dr. John Victor de Gracia said that all eight beds in the ICU are already occupied.

The regular beds for confirmed COVID-19 cases are also full with 28 patients.

Meanwhile, 12 out of 20 beds or 60 percent are already occupied in the COVID-19 transition wards.

He noted that there are still six verified cases at the COVID-19 transition wards waiting to be transferred to their COVID-19 confirmed wards.

Aside from this, there are five probable cases in the emergency room that are waiting to be admitted to their transition wards.

De Gracia explained that a total of 25 medical and non-medical employees tested positive for COVID-19. There were 15 new cases since Monday.

Out of the 25 active cases, five are admitted with mild to moderate risk.

De Gracia further detailed, “I added three more beds for my employees from our augmented 36 beds, initially 32, for COVID confirmed cases”.

He added that the other 20 employees are either on home quarantine, including himself or in a quarantine facility.

Meanwhile, as of March 26, the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office transported a total of 45 patients to isolation centers.

The city recorded 162 new cases with 986 total active COVID-19 cases as of yesterday.
