MANILA — Pasig-Grindhouse became the inaugural winner of the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3×3 President’s Cup in style, blasting 1Bataan Risers, 19-7, in the championship game at SM Fairview in Quezon City on Sunday.

The Kings only needed to finish at least third to clinch the overall title, but they instead went for the kill in the final two rounds of the Grand Finals, edging the San Juan Knights, 19-18, in the semifinals before the rout against the Risers.

“It’s attributed to our hard work. We’re driven every week to push ourselves to get better,” said Joshua Munzon, who scored a game-high 11 points en route to Best Player honors.

Taylor Statham added five markers for Pasig, which won PHP1 million plus a seat in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour in Doha this April.

Alvin Pasaol scored five points for Bataan, which took home PHP200,000 for the runner-up finish.

Both clubs will represent the Philippines in the first-ever FIBA Asia-Pacific Super Quest next weekend also sponsored by Chooks-To-Go.
