To curb the surge of COVID-19 cases, the Pasig City local government has tightened its implementation of health and safety protocols in the city pursuant to Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases Resolution No. 106-A.

Among the city’s guidelines are the following:

  • The Pasig Mega Market, one of the largest markets in the city, will only operate from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting this Tuesday until Sunday.
  • Dine-in food stalls are prohibited from operating in the Mega Market.
The market “tiangge” or bazaar which happens every Saturday has been suspended.
  • The wearing of face mask and face shield is mandatory.
All residents are advised to show their PasigPass QR code when entering groceries and supermarkets to ensure contact tracing.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto reiterated that minors, seniors, and those with serious illness should stay at home as much as possible.

Only residents accessing essential goods, Authorized Persons Outside Residents, and those on work-related and emergency activities are allowed to go outside.

The latest data shows that Pasig City has 14,641 total confirmed COVID-19 cases: 1,882 are active cases, 12,254 are recoveries, and 505 are deaths
