Pay hike, proposed in Western Visayas

Workers in Western Visayas may be given a pay hike in November, the Regional Tripartite Wage Productivity Board has proposed a minimum wage of PhP 395/day for the industrial and commercial sectors, PhP 315/day for the agriculture sector, and PhP 310/day for the business sector. The RTWPB is awaiting the approval of the Department of Labor and Employment before putting the new wages into effect.
