PBA 3X3: Cavitex stuns Leg 3 champs

Cavitex was in no mood to give the Sista Super Sealers the red carpet as the Braves stunned the Leg 3 champions on Saturday (Dec. 4), 21-15, at the resumption of the PBA 3×3 Lakas Ng Tatlo after a week-long break.

AC Soberano teamed up with veteran and Cavitex captain Larry Fonacier in pulling off the win that put the Braves in the early lead on top of Pool A to start Leg 4 at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Soberano finished with eight points, Fonacier added six, while Dominic Fajardo and Efren Reyes combined for seven points for Cavitex which failed to progress in the quarterfinals the previous leg for failing to register a single win.

Crowding out Cavitex in the early win column in Pool A was Limitless Appmasters who dealt the Zamboanga Valientes a 21-7 beating behind Jorey Napoles.

In Pool B, Leg 3 runner-up Pioneer Pro Tibay turned back San Miguel, 21-12, while Terrafirma also notched a win in Pool C with a 19-9 rout of NorthPort.

Twelve (12) more games are still scheduled to be played as of press time.
