Striving to make government programs and services more accessible to every Filipino, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. brought with him the ‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ (BBM) Program in Tarlac on Thursday.

In his visit, the President interacted with Presidential Scholars from the province, as well as facilitated the distribution of rice to eligible beneficiaries under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

President Marcos Jr. addressed the learners, “Napakaimportante na maging maganda ang inyong pag-aaral, na kayo ay makapagtapos at makapag-diploma kayo sa kolehiyo o kung ano man ang inyong papasukan ay meron kayong magandang kaalaman, meron kayong magandang napag-aralan, meron kayong magandang napagtapusan.”

He also led the turnover of a Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) financial assistance check worth P102.2 million for 511 barangays in Tarlac.

Through the SCPF, barangays will receive P200,000 each—half of which will be used to fund local projects to uplift the lives of constituents in these communities, with the other half being equally distributed among five Presidential scholars.

The Chief Executive concluded, “Asahan po ninyo na ang pamahalaan ninyo ay nasa likod ninyo, kasama niyo po sa lahat ng inyong pangangailangan.”

As of press time, P4.69 billion in financial aid and assistance has been distributed to 23, 431 barangays, with further rollouts expected in the coming months. Moreover, P22.22 billion has been disbursed to 1,266 local government units (LGUs) nationwide.
