President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. remains focused on working to address the immediate needs of Filipinos despite a slight dip in his trust ratings, according to Malacañang.

Based on the latest survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released on Wednesday, about 43% of adult Filipino respondents trust the President in September 2025—down by five points from the 48% trust rating he obtained in June this year.

Around 43% of Filipinos have “much trust” in Marcos, while 36% only have “little trust,” and the remaining 21% were undecided.

“Hindi man niya alintana ang numero sa mga survey, pero ikinalulugod niya na nararamdaman na ng mga kababayan natin na ang Pangulo at ang gobyerno ay nandiyan para sa kanila,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said in a statement.

The survey was conducted on Sept. 24–30, when Typhoon Opong lashed Bicol and Eastern Visayas.

The President has since then directed concerned government agencies to continue providing relief and all forms of aid to affected communities, especially in Masbate, as residents reel from the typhoon’s onslaught.

During this period, Marcos also stressed that every peso from the public funds must be used for projects that truly benefit the people—ordering the realignment of local flood control budget to other priority programs amid anomalies in infrastructure spending.

“Ang Pangulong Marcos Jr. ay nakikita natin na tunay na nagtatrabaho at kumakalaban sa korapsiyon,” Castro noted, adding that the President is relentless in his efforts to improve the lives of every Filipino, even amid calamities.

“Mulat na ang mga mata ng mga mamamayan kung sino ba talaga ang tunay na nagtatrabaho at nagmamalasakit sa kanila at hindi ‘yung pansariling interest lang ang iniisip,” the Palace official said.

The Third Quarter 2025 Social Weather Survey was conducted using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adults nationwide. (with report from Clay Pardilla / PTV News)
