President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has issued Proclamation Nos. 429 and 430, naming and renaming eight Philippine National Police (PNP) camps and real properties to honor former police officers.

The two-page Proclamation No. 429, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Dec. 20, named the donated lot to the PNP in Pasacao, Camarines Sur as Camp Brigadier General Ludovico Padilla Arejola, and the donated lot to Police Regional Office 5 as Camp Captain Salvador Jaucian Del Rosario, Sr.

President Marcos also named the Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office as Camp Colonel Juan Querubin Miranda and the 504th Maneuver Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5 as Camp Police Max Jim Ramirez Tria.

Meanwhile, the President renamed Camp Efigenio C Navarro, or the PRO MIMAROPA Headquarters, as Camp Brigadier General Efigenio C Navarro.

In a separate issuance, Proclamation No. 430, the chief executive named Police Regional Office 12 as Camp General Paulino T Santos, Police Regional Office 12; Biliran Police Provincial Office as Camp Private Andres P Dadizon, Police Regional Office 8; and the Camarines Sur 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company Headquarters as Camp 2LT Carlos Rafael Paz Imperial, Police Regional Office 5.

The Republic Act No. 10086, or the Strengthening People’s Nationalism through Philippine History Act, reinforces nationalism, love of country, and respect for its heroes and pride for the people’s accomplishments.

“It is fitting to give honor to former servicemen who have shown patriotism, courage, and dedication in serving the country and the provinces to which they are assigned,” the President noted. PND/with report from Brian Jules Campued–cf
