As the solemn week-long observance of Holy Week draws to a close, the Filipino faithful flock to places of worship to rejoice in the Resurrection of Christ and pay their respects to the Creator.

In a message published on social media on Sunday, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed his oneness with the citizenry as Christ conquers death and rises from his tomb.

President Marcos Jr. reminded Filipinos to embody the essence of God’s enduring grace that pierces through darkness to lead everyone towards the light, with sacrifice touted as the path towards renewal and further growth.

He encouraged his constituents, “As a people known for our resilience and deep faith, let us carry the light of Easter into our daily lives not only in words, but in action.”

“For in every act of kindness, in every hand extended to help, we become instruments of renewal for our entire nation.”

The Chief Executive concluded his remarks by reiterating the importance of faith as the unshakable foundation of a country amidst various challenges and tribulations faced by its citizens in the diaspora.
