PCG deploys aluminum boats to flooded areas in Marikina

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) deployed on Tuesday, Aug.23, a total of 11 aluminum boats to respond to flooded areas in Marikina City due to heavy rains brought by Severe Tropical Storm “Florita.”

According to PCG, their two response groups are continuously monitoring the situation of Marikina River to ensure the safety of the residents.

 

The Marikina River water level rose to 15 meters around 4:48 p.m, reaching the first alarm.
