PCG members source gallons of water to typhoon victims

Members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Western Visayas District have joined contributions to acquire 99 gallons of water to be distributed to families affected by Typhoon Odette in Cebu.

Drinking water is among the immediate basic needs of Cebu residents following the impact of the typhoon which has damaged infrastructures, power, and communication lines.

In line with the continuous ferry missions of PCG, more than 500 locally stranded individuals were transported by BRP Sindangan (MRRV-4407) to Surigao City a day before Christmas.

The distribution of relief goods from the government and private organizations is ongoing.
