PCOO bids for inclusion of media members in COVID-19 vaccine priority list


Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar is pushing for the inclusion of the members of the media in the priority list of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination.

Sec. Andanar stated that media workers must be considered as frontliners given their duty of bringing news to the public everyday. He is also prepared to join officials who are willing to get vaccinated in order to increase the public’s confidence in the vaccination program.

The government has initially announced that the first batch of the COVID-19 vaccine is set to arrive in February. – PTV News
