PCOO Sec. Andanar to meet with newsmen, info officers in Cordillera

BAGUIO CITY, Aug. 11 — Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar is set to meet with four groups in the Cordillera during his visit on Saturday (August 12) to strengthen communication and information networks.

Andanar will start the day early with an interview with “Morning Sky” hosts Migs Velarde and Andrew Pinero followed by an interview with Radyo Pilipinas-Baguio.

After the media interviews will be a meeting with national line agency-Cordillera information officers where there will be a signing of commitment for the more efficient delivery of information from the agencies.

He will then meet with local chief executives from the Cordillera which will also be attended by the members of the Regional Development Council (RDC) including the regional directors of the different national line agencies.

In the afternoon, a press conference will be held where members of the media will have the opportunity to meet the secretary and throw questions pertaining to different topics, among which are the PCOO’s programs and thrusts for communication networking, updates on the country’s hosting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit, federalism and updates on President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s programs and activities.

A separate meeting with the PCOO family which includes the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Radyo Pilipinas, Peoples Television (PTV) and Philippine News Agency based in the Cordillera will likewise be held.

Andanar will also have a chance to talk to the information officers of major private companies operating in the Cordillera before the day ends. (PNA)
