PCW to further strengthen women’s rights

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) has laid down its agenda to be presented to Congress, strengthening further women’s rights. The PCW aims to end discriminatory provisions in existing laws which include amendments to the Anti-Rape Law and repeal provisions on adultery and concubinage in the Revised Penal Code. The Commission wants to ensure equal righs for women in matters of family relations. The PCW also plans to pursue new laws that will advance and protect women’s rights.
