PDEA nabs 3 in drug buy-bust

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Three drug personalities were arrested as the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) continued without let-up the anti-illegal drug campaign in the region, a PDEA official said Thursday.

PDEA Regional Director Lyndon Aspacio identified the arrested drug personalities as Jabbar Nasser, 42; Adzmar Malali, 28; and, Abdillah Ahil, 27.

Authorities referred drug personalities as either drug pushers or users of illegal drugs.

Aspacio said Nasser and Malali were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Barangay Kaumpurnah Zone 1, Isabela City, Basilan.

Confiscated from them were a gram of suspected shabu packed in nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets worth PhP4,500 and PhP500 marked money.

Aspacio said Ahil was arrested in another buy-bust operation around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City.

Aspacio said confiscated from Ahil were around five grams of suspected shabu packed in seven plastic sachets worth PhP15,000, illegal drug paraphernalia, and PhP1,000 marked money.

He said they were detained while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (Teofilo Garcia, Jr/PNA)
