MANILA — Jason Perkins remains on top of the statistical points race for the Rookie of the Year award for the recently concluded 2018 Philippine Basketball Association season.

The Phoenix stretch-4 is way ahead of the field with a cumulative average of 32.2 statistical points, 13.5 points above Alaska winger Jeron Teng (18.7).

Perkins now needs to get the nod from his fellow players, the media, and the PBA commissioner’s office through votes for him to be formally named the top freshman of 2018 in the Leo Awards scheduled on Jan. 13 during the opening of the 2019-20 season.
