PH administers over 43-M COVID-19 vaccine doses

The Philippines administered over 43 million COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Thursday (Sep. 23), Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque reported.

In today’s (Sep. 24) Laging Handa public briefing, Sec. Roque announced that the country has administered a total of 43,088,582 COVID-19 vaccine doses, with 23,416,857 administered as the first dose and 19,671,725 as the second dose.

The average daily jab is at 417,420.

Moreover, the National Capital Region (NCR) has administered a total of 15,175,704 vaccine doses, with an average daily jab of 91,711 as of Sep. 23.

The region has administered 8,339,430 doses as the first dose, with a coverage ratio of 85.30%, and 6,836,274 doses as the second dose, with a coverage ratio of 69.33%.

Meanwhile, Roque also announced that the quarantine classification of Abra, Baguio City, and Bohol has been upgraded to general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions, while Ilocos Norte has been downgraded to GCQ from Sep. 24 to Sep. 30. –rir
