The Philippine government has allocated a fund of ₱27 billion to aid commercial hog raisers affected by the African Swine Fever (ASF)
According to Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar, ₱15B of the fund will be coming from the Land Bank of the Philippines while ₱12B will be given by the Development Bank of the Philippines. This can be used for commercial hog raisers to start over.
Moreover, the DA extended its 0 interest loan in the operating capital of the Market Vendors Association in Metro Manila to help the industry recover following the implemented price cap on pork. – PTV News
