PH Archery team falls short against Vietnam in SEA Games bronze medal match

The Philippine mixed archery team on Friday morning fell short after their counterparts, Vietnam duo, snatched a 159-155 bronze medal victory on Mixed Team Compound – Archery at 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Vietnamese duo outlasted Philippines’ Amaya Paz-Cojuangco and Paul Marton dela Cruz, leading by just one point in every end – which was summed up to a 4-point lead since there were only four ends in the match.

Cojuangco and Dela Cruz lost their touches as they couldn’t break the 40-point barrier by scoring below than that in every end (39, 38, 39, 39), compared to Vietnam’s 40, 39, 40, 40.

Set aside, on Thursday evening, the Philippine men’s team bagged the country’s second bronze medal in the team compound event with astounding 233-230 victory over Vietnam. | Tretch Melarpes – PTV
