PH gets more Pfizer jabs

The country’s total vaccine supply rose to 245 million doses following the arrival of another shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine on Friday (April 1) night.

The new vaccine batch arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 at 8:27 p.m. via an Air Hong Kong Flight.

The delivery consists of 230,000 doses of reformulated vaccines for children aged five to 11, and 430,560 doses for those12 years old and older, for a total of 660,560 doses.

According to the Department of Health, 933,000 of the country’s pediatric population are already fully vaccinated, while 8.9 million of the adolescent population are completely inoculated.

As of March 31, 65.9 million Filipinos have completed their vaccination against COVID-19.  – Report from Gillian Geronimo/AG
