PH inflation further slows to 1.7% in August

The Philippine Statistics Authority announced that the inflation rate for August 2019 slowed down to 1.7% which well within Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ forecast of 1.3 to 2.1 percent for the period. This is attributed to lower food and utility prices as a result of the Rice Liberalization Law.
