PH logs highest daily case toll at 26,303

The Philippines has logged its highest single-day tally of new COVID-19 cases at 26,303 on Saturday (Sept. 11).

This brings the total case count to 2,206,021.

Based on the latest data from the Department of Health (DOH), there are 185,706 active cases in the country, 1,985,337 total recoveries, and 34,978 total number of fatalities since the pandemic began.

About 85% of the active cases are mild, 10.2% asymptomatic, 2.56% moderate, 1.3% severe, and 0.6% critical.

Nationwide, the current utilization rate of intensive care unit (ICU) beds stands at 76%, isolation beds at 68%, ward beds at 73%, and ventilators at 56%.

In Metro Manila, ICU beds are 77% utilized, isolation beds at 64%, ward beds at 73%, and ventilators at 61%.
