PHAPi recommends NTF adviser Herbosa as next health chief

The Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAPi) endorsed National Task Force Against COVID-19 adviser Dr. Teddy Herbosa to be the next health secretary  under the administration of President-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

According to PHAPi President Dr. Rene De Grano, they are hopeful that Marcos’ decision will be in accordance with their recommendation.

“Sa amin pong hanay meron pong mga hospitals, different medical societies, even the PMA [Philippine Medical Association], meron po kaming nirerecommend. Hopefully siya po ang tanggapin ng ating President-elect Bongbong Marcos, na sya po’ng gawing secretary of health,” he said.

“But of course, the final decision ay sa kanila pa rin po…At ‘yun po, ang aming inire-recommend ay si Dr. Ted Herbosa,” he added.

Marcos Jr. had already announced some personalities who will join his administration, but has yet to appoint his health secretary.  – ag
