PhilHealth Execom members decided to file raps vs. witness

PhilHealth Execom members are bent on filing charges against Senate witness Atty. Thorrsson Montes Keith over alleged dishonesty, following the latter’s claim that Php 15 billion pesos have been pocketed by PhilHealth officials.

PhilHealth SVP for Legal Sector Atty. Rodolfo Del Rosario maintained the claims of the witness are malicious and do not have basis.

“Ang dami po niyang mga kasinungalingang pinagsasabi. Sabi niya 15 billion binulsa ng mga Execom members. We can show receipts of releases sa IRM na hindi iyon binulsa ng mga Execom (He has told a lot of lies. He said Php 15 billion have been robbed by Execom members. We can show receipts of releases on IRM and are not pocketed by the Execom), so the whole Execom will file charges against him for libel,” Del Rosario laid out.

“Hindi niya pwede invoke iyong legislative immunity niya kasi actually he went around media stating those lies no, those fabrications (He cannot invoke his legislative immunity because he actually went around media stating those lies and fabrications),” he pointed out.

“So kahit na hindi mag-decide ang corporation to file charges against him dahil yung Philhealth kasi can sue or may be sued as an entity, ang members ng Execom on our personal capacity will file cases/ charges or complaints against him (So even if the corporation does not decide to file charges against him because Philhealth can sue or may be sued as an entity, Execom members on our personal capacity will file cases/ charges or complaints against him),” he added.
