Philippines-Indonesia to conduct Border Coordinated Patrol

NSFA, Panacan, Davao City – The annual combined force Republic of the Philippines and Republic of Indonesia coordinated patrol will commence in a military ceremony on July 4, 2017 at 8:30 in the morning at Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City.

The Indonesian delegates are expected to arrive on Monday July 3, 2017 8:30 in the morning at Sasa Wharf, Davao City and they will be accorded with an arrival ceremony by the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao.

The coordinated patrol which will be formally kick off with a send off ceremony on July 6, 2017, 8:30 AM at Sasa Wharf Davao City is intended to strengthen the security of the Davao Gulf and the common boundary of the two countries in the southern part of the Philippine Archipelago particularly along the Celebes Sea and enhance the inter-operability of the two countries in maritime patrol.

A medical mission will be conducted by military medical personnel aboard the patrolling vessels in a stop over at Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental on July 7, 2017 with the participation of the Local Government Unit of the municipality.

The coordinated patrol is expected to culminate on July 12, 2017 in a closing ceremony at Manado, Indonesia. ###Eastern Mindanao Command – AFP | via Eunice Samonte
