PHIVOLCS, ibinaba na ang alert status sa Mt. Kanlaon

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) lowered the alert status of Mt. Kanlaon in Negros. The decision was made after volcanic earthquakes in the area became less frequent from June according to the seismic monitoring network. Only two volcanic activities a day have been monitored and no magmatic eruption is expected from the area. However, the agency reminded the public to avoid the 4km permanent danger zone of the volcano.
