Phivolcs not expecting aftershocks in Zambales, Antique

MANILA — The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said it is not expecting aftershocks and damages from the two earthquakes that jolted Zambales and Antique on Thursday morning.

A magnitude 4 quake of tectonic origin, which had a depth of 30 km., was recorded in Zambales.

Intensity 1 was reported in Dagupan City, Phivolcs said.
Earlier, a magnitude 4.2 quake also hit Antique, which was also tectonic origin and had a depth of 3 km.

Intensity 4 was felt in Barbaza, Sibalom, and Tiblao, and Intensity 2 in San Jose de Buenavista, Phivolcs said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
