Pinoy boxers suffer defeat in US bout

DAVAO CITY — Filipino boxers Neil John Tabanao and John Vincent Moralde suffered separate defeats on Friday (April 6 in Manila) in non-title fights at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tabanao bowed to undefeated Angelo “El Chinito” Leo of US by a unanimous10-round decision.

Leo scored his 17th straight win while Tabanao lost his 5th against 17 wins.

Moralde, on the other hand, suffered a 3rd round knockout to another undefeated, Xavier Martinez of US.

The fight was promoted by the Mayweather Promotions with the Nevada Athletic Commission.
