PNP: Black Nazarene Feast peaceful

The Feast of the Black Nazarene last Saturday was generally peaceful, according to authorities.

Data from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) show that more than 150,000 devotees attended the yearly celebration despite the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

NCRPO Chief PBGen. Vicente Danao reported that no untoward incidents were recorded, except for those who were given medical attention.

PNP Chief PGen. Debold Sinas announced that police personnel who were deployed last Saturday will undergo mandatory swab testing. The testing will be conducted by batch and will prioritize cops who have symptoms.

The Department of Health (DOH) has already advised those who attended the event to undergo isolation and observe possible symptoms. – Report from Bea Bernardo
