PNP Chief assures improvement in the organization

Chief Police General Archie Gamboa assured that the Philippine National Police (PNP) is doing its best to avoid the repetition of errors by its personnel amid controversies the organization is facing.

The PNP Chief stated that reforms are being made in the organization that includes reviewing of operational procedures and stricter process of recruitment.

“The PNP leadership is doing its best, starting reforms from recruitment to while they are in the service, so that in the end, we are able to produce credible policemen who can actually maintain peace and order in the community.”

The PNP admits that the image of the whole institution has been affected by the issues involving a few police officers. However, these can be considered as isolated cases.

According to PGen.Gamboa, “I would like the public to understand that the PNP is exerting its best efforts to correct this mistake. Some would even require institutional reforms which we are actually doing.” – Report from Bea Bernardo
