PNP chief lauds NCR cops for helping farmers plant rice

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar commended the National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) outreach activity for farmers of Sitio Bangkal, Bgy. Bagong Silangan, Quezon City.

NCRPO personnel helped farmers plant rice as part of its PALAYanihan or Rice Planting BARANGAYanihan project on Aug. 20.

With the help of the Metro Manila policemen, farmers were given a chance to spend quality time at home with their loved ones.

Aside from assisting in the backbreaking work of planting rice, the NCR cops also provided food packs and health kits to around 500 families in the area.

The NCRPO also installed a water system to provide residents of Sitio Bangkal with clean water, under its NCRPO Simula ng Isang Bagong Oportunidad sa Lipunan or SIBOL “Well of Life” project.

Eleazar thanked the NCRPO for these initiatives that truly help the community.

“Saludo ako sa ating mga kapulisan na patuloy na tumutugon sa pangangailangan sa mga komunidad, bukod sa pagbibigay nila ng seguridad,” Eleazar said.

“Sana ay marami pa kayong matulungan sa inyong mga proyekto,” he added. (PNP-PIO) – jlo
