PNP considered the veep’s safety during illegal drug ops, supported the use of body cameras for police officers

The high-ranking officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) said that Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo may attend the anti-illegal-drug operations of the police subject, however, to several conditions. The Manila Police District said that the safety of the veep must be of primary consideration, she being one of the top leaders of the Philippines. The Vice President, for example, may not partake in street-level operations as these are classified as high risk.

With regard to the employment of body cameras by policemen, said police officials adhere to it.

Finally, on the Southeast Asian Games, the senior police officers said that they are already ready for staging of the international event.
