PNP-HPG nabs 4 men for carjacking, illegal drugs

The Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) on Tuesday, March 28, apprehended four individuals in separate police operations in Northern Samar and Capiz for carjacking and possession of illegal drugs.

In a routine checkpoint operation in Barangay Jubasan, Allen, Northern Samar, PNP-HPG flagged down three individuals for driving a stolen car and possessing illegal drugs.

According to the report, the suspects, Jabbar Angni Azis, Aminollah Moti Mohammad, and Amenodeh A Mamao, yielded one kilogram of white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” with an estimated market value of P7,000,000.

The suspects are currently detained in Allen, Northern Samar Municipal Police Station for investigation and preparation of criminal charges.

In a separate operation, the Capiz Provincial Highway Patrol Team apprehended Ringo Cazabar Arbolado in Brgy. Lawaan, Roxas City for speeding, riding without a helmet, and non-installation of the side mirror, as well as possession of illegal drugs and a loaded firearm.

The Roxas City Police Station is holding the suspect for investigation and criminal charges.

PNP Chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. extended his commendations to PNP HPG Director Police Brigadier General Clifford Gairanod and his members for their prompt action in arresting the offenders.

“The commitment of PNP HPG in keeping our national highways safe and secure not only benefits all motorists and road users but also significantly helps in the PNP’s goal of keeping our communities protected form the evils of illegal drugs,” Azurin said.
