The PNP announced on Wednesday, July 20, the suspension of the Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence (PTCFOR) to take effect from July 22 to 27 as a security measure for the event.

“As part of the security measures for the first State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., the Philippine National Police will be implementing a six-day gun ban in Metro Manila,” the PNP said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the PNP conducted an inspection on Tuesday, July 19, to ensure a smooth preparation for the upcoming SONA at the Batasan Complex.
