PNP-PDEA bust two drug suspects, seized P16-M shabu and marijuana in Isabela

A joint buy bust operation of PNP and PDEA operatives led to the arrest of two drug suspects in Isabela on Saturday evening.

PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas, said a joint drug operation was conducted at Brgy. Abut, Quezon, Isabela at 10:00 PM by Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 2 (lead unit) led by PCPT Jhun Jhun Balisi, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Isabela led PCOL James Cipriano, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region II, Isabela Police Provincial Office, Provincial Explosives and Canine Unit of Isabela at Quezon Police Station led to the arrest of ANWAR SINDATOC y DANGLAW, 54 years old, a residence of Las Piñas City, Manila and ELSON CABUNYAG Y GRAVOSO, 43 years old and residence ng Port Area, Manila.

Citing reports from PBGEN Crizaldo O Nieves, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 2, Sinas said SINDATOC and CABUNYAG sold two bricks of marijuana worth P31,000 to police undercover operatives. The two suspects tried to escape but they were intercepted by our authorities at Quarantine Checkpoint of PNP Quezon and PECU Isabela.

Drug operation further yielded 125 bricks and four tubular packs of marijuana weighing 130 kilos worth P16 Million; three grams of Shabu worth P20,400, one caliber 45 Colt pistol with 7 live ammunition, M14 rifle live ammunitions, various ID cards, two cellphones and boodle money.

Suspects were brought to PNP Crime Laboratory for drug test while evidences are now under the custody of PDEA RO2.

Criminal charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act and Republic Act 10591 or Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulations Act are now being prepared against the two drug suspects.
