PNP quarantine facilities, nakahanda kung sakaling magkaroon ng panibagong surge ng COVID-19

Siniguro ni PNP Deputy Chief for Administration at Administrative Support to COVID-19 Operations Task Force (ASCOTF) Commander Police Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz na nakahanda ang mga quarantine facilities ng PNP kung magkakaroon uli ng panibagong surge ng mga kaso ng COVID-19.

Ito’y sa gitna ng pangamba ng mga health experts sa posibleng muling pagkalat ng COVID-19 dahil sa mga pinaluwag na quarantine restrictions.

Ayon kay Vera Cruz, ang PNP ay mayroong 137 isolation, quarantine, at admission facilities nationwide na may 2,673 bed capacity.

Pero sa ngayon aniya ay 223 beds o 8% lang ang okupado ng mga pasyente, at 92% ang bakante.

Sa kabila nito, sinabi ni Vera Cruz na patuloy na imamantine ng PNP ang kanilang mga pasilidad para muling magamit kung saka-sakali.

Pinayuhan naman ni Vera Cruz ang mga medical frontliners ng PNP na nakadeploy sa mga pasilidad na ito na samantalahin din ang pagkakataon para magpahinga at magpalakas ng immune system, dahil hindi aniya masabi kung magkakaroon uli ng surge ng kaso ng COVID-19 sa hanay ng PNP.  (Radyo Pilipinas) – jlo
