PNP sets aside P334-M for purchase of body cameras

MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that it was allocating the sum of PHP334 million for the acquisition of body cameras needed by its operatives.

This was bared by PNP Director General Ronald “Bato’ Dela Rosa in a report by Radyo Pilipinas Thursday.

He added the fund for the body cameras was under the PNP’s 2018 budget.

Also, Dela Rosa said that all interested suppliers or companies were invited to participate in the project.

These body cameras will be used by police operatives involved in anti-drug and other operations.

As this develops, the PNP chief spearheaded the presentation and blessing of new vehicles and equipment during short ceremonies at the National Capital Region Police Office headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City Thursday.
