PNP to probe 9 generals allegedly involved in drug trafficking

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Gen. Guillermo Eleazar ordered a thorough investigation into the revelation of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte that nine police generals are or were supposedly involved in drug trafficking.

As he talked about corruption and illegal drugs in his last State of the Nation Address yesterday (July 26), President Duterte said nine high-ranking police officials were linked to drug trafficking.

Eleazar assured that this will be seriously looked into as he reiterated that rogue cops have no place in the police organization.

Robert “Ace” Barbers has said he will push for a congressional inquiry into the matter of the nine police generals. (PNP-PIO) – jlo
