PNP turns over P228-M donation to DOF

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has formally turned over its cash donations for the Bayanihan Fund Challenge to the Department of Finance (DOF) as additional funds in the fight against the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

The PNP has donated around PhP 228 million from its personnel and other organizations. The donation has come from the members of the PNP that have voluntarily donated their salaries to support marginalized Filipinos, members of the informal sector and workers from MSMEs.

The DOF hopes that the PNP has set an example to other government agencies. – PTV News
