The Philippine National Police (PNP) has formed a special investigation task group to investigate the death of a 34 year-old man in Lian, Batangas.

Search operations are ongoing for the victim, identified as Rodrigo Catibog, who has been missing for more than two weeks.

“We vow to deepen the investigation regarding this case. Thus, the function of the SITG is to look at every angle and fast track the gathering of information related to this case,” PNP Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said.

The PNP said regular updates will be given to the victim’s family regarding the development of the probe. Azurin said the PNP is looking at every angle possible.

“We are assuring the family that we are doing our best to get additional information about the case,” he said.
