PNP welcomes Abalos joining drug raids

The Philippine National Police (PNP) welcomed on Monday, July 4, the pronouncement of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. in joining drug raid operations of the PNP.

PNP Public Information Office Chief BGen. Roderick Augustus Alba expressed gratitude over the interest of Abalos, saying that it will also serve as a “morale booster” to all front line law enforcers.

“Actions like these are certainly morale boosters for frontline law enforcers coming from the highest official of the DILG himself,” he said.

Alba said that it will maintain and improve the government’s campaign against prohibited drugs.

“It augurs well with national policy to sustain the momentum of the national campaign against illegal drugs,” he continued. —Report from Bea Bernardo/KC-ag
