Power outage affects flights at NAIA Terminal 3

Several flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 were canceled on Monday, May 1, due to power outage.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) reported that the NAIA Terminal 3 experienced a power outage at about 1:05 a.m. Monday.

“Standby power is now supplying electricity to critical facilities enabling computer systems of airlines and Immigration to function partially and enable processing of both inbound and outbound passengers,” MIAA statement read.

“As a result, delayed flights shall be expected,” it further read.

As of 12:30 p.m., the following flights of Cebu Pacific were canceled:

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Monday has instructed the Department of Transportation to restore normal power operations at the NAIA Terminal 3 “as soon as possible” while providing necessary assistance to affected passengers. – gb
