PPP knowledge hub to be launched in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY — The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) will launch the region’s first knowledge hub for public-private partnership (PPP) in Albay on Thursday.

NEDA regional director Agnes Tolentino said the center will focus on assisting local government units (LGUs) through capacity building and technical assistance in pursuing bankable local PPP projects.

“Part of the strategy is to foster stronger collaboration among local public or private capacity building institutions and other critical local development stakeholders,” she said in an interview on Tuesday.

The PPP knowledge corner will serve as an information hub where LGUs implementing agencies and other stakeholders can get updated information and knowledge on PPP.

Meanwhile, a briefing on the PPP program, concepts and processes, and LGU-PPP program and strategy will be conducted along with the launch of the knowledge hub. (PNA story by Jay Ray Masayda, OJT)
