PRC eyes computer-based licensure exams before 2021 ends

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is looking into conducting a computer-based licensure examination before the end of the year.

In a public briefing, PRC Chair Teofilo Pilando Jr. mentioned that due to the threat of the new Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) variant, it is possible to conduct selected board exams online especially those with a small number of examinees.

In preparation for this, the commission is reviewing the law of each profession and how to respond to the issue of privacy, security and the proper technology in 2021.

The PRC is pursuing 101 licensure examinations after having to postpone dozens of exams in 2020 due to the pandemic. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
