Pres. Duterte meets with top execs of Melco Resorts and Entertainment

MANILA — President Rodrigo Roa Duterte met with the top executives of Melco Resorts and Entertainment at the Manila Hotel on Thursday, January 11.

Present during the courtesy call were Lawrence Ho, chairman and chief executive officer of Melco Resorts and Entertainment Corporation (Philippines) and Clarence Chung, Entertainment Gaming Asia chief executive officer.

The two were joined by the company’s other top officials including Executive Vice President Geoff Davis, Managing Director Evan Wincklen and President Geoffrey Andres.

Melco Resorts and Entertainment is the listed operator of integrated hotel, gaming, retail and entertainment complex City of Dreams located at Entertainment City in Parañaque City.

Melco is reportedly set to launch a new luxury hotel brand in the country that will replace its current Crown Towers in City of Dreams.The new hotel brand will also debut in Macau.

On the government side, present during the meeting were Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea and officials of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) namely Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Andrea Domingo and President and Chief Operations Officer Alfredo Lim. Also in attendance were PAGCOR Directors Gabriel Claudio, Reynaldo Concordia, Carmen Pedrosa, and Corporate Secretary Juanito Sanosa Jr. (PND)
