Pres. Marcos appoints new railway officials

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed new railway officials to lead the Philippine National Railways (PNR) and Light Railway Transit Authority (LRTA), according to the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Jeremy Regino was selected to be the acting general manager of PNR, while Henry Uri was picked as an acting member of the PNR Board of Directors.

DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista led the oath taking ceremony for the two officials on Thursday, Aug. 4. 

Atty. Hernando Cabrera also took oath as the LRTA’s new administrator.

Cabrera was the former LRTA’s spokesperson and corporate board secretary.

The DOTr said the appointments will be confirmed by the officials’ respective Board of Directors. –ag
