President Ferdinand R. Marcos on Sunday, October 23, led the distribution of checks to farmer organizations and financial aid to individuals in crisis in Negros Occidental.

In his speech, the President said he wanted to make sure that the assistance from the national government will be distributed properly to all beneficiaries.

A total of P88 million worth of checks were distributed to nine farmer organizations or equivalent to 1,835 beneficiaries from different municipalities and cities in Negros Occidental under the Philippine Rural Development Project.

The Chief Executive also distributed palay seeds to 100 farmers under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund.

Meanwhile, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) distributed P5,000 financial aid to 100 residents of Bacolod City under the DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.

The President is hopeful that the economic situation in the country will continue to progress while they address the needs of the Filipinos.

Ngunit habang nandiyan — hanggang kailangan ninyo, nandito kami,” he continued.
