President Marcos’ supporters hold thanksgiving concert

Supporters of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will hold a thanksgiving concert in Mendiola on Thursday night, June 30, in celebration of the successful inauguration of the newly installed Chief Executive.

Various BBM merchandise such as shirts, facemasks, packs of red and green mints, and mini Philippine flags are given out for free. These can be seen at the gate of the Mendiola Peace Arch.

Health and security protocols are strictly implemented before entering the concert ground.

The Manila Police District has deployed 600 police enforcers along with K9 units to ensure the safety and orderliness of the event, as well as the observance of minimum public health protocols.

Ground Commander PLt. Col. Ramon Nazario said they are expecting 10,000 to 12,000 attendees. Several LED screens were placed near the venue for the audience who cannot enter the venue due to its capacity limit.

“Kung titingnan ito from stage hanggang sa kinatatayuan natin, ‘pag mapupuno ito mag-e-expect tayo ng more or less 10 [thousand] to 12,000 ang capacity. Ngayon kung mag-overflow roon, may LED tayo sa bawat kanto, puwede din sila manood doon,” Nazario said.

Aside from law enforcement authorities, the Department of Health also deployed health personnel to attend to any medical emergencies.

Various artists and performers are lined up to perform for the thanksgiving event hosted by Bayani Agbayani. —Report from Joshua Garcia/KC-ag
